Eryn Tong, MSc MA

Eryn Tong is a second-year PhD student in the Clinical & Counseling Psychology program at the University of Toronto. She is currently completing her clinical training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. She previously completed her MA in clinical psychology and MSc in medical science (specializing in palliative & supportive care) at the University of Toronto. Over the past decade, she has worked in the Department of Supportive Care at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Toronto). Eryn’s research interests include understanding the experience of people affected by advanced disease, the quality of death and dying, grief and bereavement, and health equity. Her doctoral program of research focuses on the experience of emerging adults caring for a parent living with advanced disease, using a developmental lens. Eryn is supported by the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (#186866) by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council.
